Who am I?
I am Neil Harvey, 47 years old. I completed my LLB with the OU in 2005. I have also completed a PGD in Criminal Justice and have an MA in Criminology and Social Policy. I recently finished studying at Plymouth University [part time] where I qualified with a PGCE, this allows me to teach law and criminology. I am a serving police officer with 29 years’ experience. I am also a police federation rep, and have received training in equality issues for this role. I have represented members of the federation in relation to equality and fairness matters.

Why am I involved with the OULS?
I would like to see the OU Law Society expand to represent many more current and past students. This will allow for better networking, which is vital both for support and for experiences to be shared in order to allow members to reach their full potential. The Law Society demonstrates the value of the OU LLB, in areas such as mooting, but other areas need to be expanded upon. I look forward to working with members of the OULS, and the very experienced members of the committee.
