Recall and Initiative Rules
To frame Recall and Initiative rules for citizens and their legislators

Political sovereignty resides with you and me only on Election Day – only then can we give legislators their P45s: at all other times they serve their own masters – be it whips, egos or other. Do turkeys vote for Christmas? Probably not but... moral pressure only works if you are ready to apply it and this is a start. It’s time for politicians to earn our respect by serving us in a way that we deserve and only by those means can we respect our politicians.
Call on the UK Parliament to frame rules that allow those with suffrage to petition to have a legislative proposal introduced into any legislature of the UK: equivalent to the provision laid down in the Treaty on Europe, Article 11 – the Citizens’ Initiative. In addition to the above we call upon the UK Parliament to frame rules that will allow citizens with suffrage to recall their legislator for bad behaviour: equivalent to the Recall and Initiative Act [Revised Statutes of British Columbia (Canada) 1996] Chapter 398.
