Help fill a second virtual House of Lords

Response to Scope and Justice for All call to show support for welfare benefit advice by taking your seat in the virtual House of Lords, has been overwhelming. Thanks to those new 'Lords' and 'Ladies' - please add your name if you haven't already.

Book your place at our Advice Review Focus Groups

Justice for All is working to make sure views from the frontline of advice are heard in the Cabinet Office Advice Review. We are holding four focus groups discussing what would help advice charities get on with what they do best - giving advice.

Book your place now!

Please also ask others you know to attend. We are keen for advice centre workers to come but also local authority officers, other funders and voluntary sector partners to share their views on advice services.

UPDATED 31/12/2011

The OULS continue to support the Justice for All campaign and submitted a full response to the government consultation on legal aid provision. The results of that consultation are eagerly awaited and are expected to be released shortly after Easter 2011.

The Justice for All campaign and the OULS continue to support the idea of access to justice being available to all.

To mark the start of National Pro Bono Week 2010, the OULS has chosen to offer its support to the Justice for All campaign.

Justice for All is a campaign supported across the legal advice sectors, with the aim of ensuring that fair and equal access to justice may be had by all, no matter what circumstances they find themselves in.

The campaign has gathered support from organisations such as the Law Centres Federation, LAG, LAPG as well as from members of the public and politicians. The OULS are asking all members of the society to consider signing up to show their support for what we consider to be a very worthwhile cause and one which fits entirely with the founding principles of the Society.

Many of you will have entered the legal arena with the hope that one day you might male a difference - here is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
